Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser, so it can remember something between pages or visits, such as that you’re signed in. Browser storage works in a similar way, and we list it here too.

Some cookies are set by us. Others are set by the services listed below, and those services can read them on other websites as well.

• Essential cookies keep the website working: signing in, your cart, and opening a child’s emergency profile on the phone that tapped their band. The website can’t work properly without them.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) count visits and show us which pages people use, so we can make the website clearer. We don’t send your name, email or anything about your child.

Checkout happens on Stripe’s secure payment page, which sets its own cookies under Stripe’s cookie policy. TapCare never sees your card details.

Analytics and advertising cookies run only on our public website. They never run on a child’s emergency profile, in your dashboard or on sign-in pages, and we never send them your child’s information.

When someone taps a band, the only cookie their phone receives is the essential one that opens the profile on that phone. It expires after two hours, and we don’t use it to follow the helper anywhere else.

You can see, delete and block cookies in your browser’s settings. Each browser explains how:

If you block all cookies, you won’t be able to sign in, and a child’s emergency profile won’t open on that phone after a tap. Blocking only analytics and advertising cookies doesn’t affect either.

We update this page whenever the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
