How it works

From their wrist to a helper’s phone in one tap.

TapCare is a wristband with a free profile you control behind it. Here’s the whole journey, from choosing a band to the moment someone taps it.

Shop the band
  1. The TapCare pouch with a Space band and a Unicorn band
    01

    Choose their band

Pick Space or Unicorn. Soft silicone, an adjustable snap and nothing to charge. Order a spare for the school bag while you’re there.

    Set up their profile

Add their allergies, medications, emergency contacts and action plan to their free online profile. It takes a few minutes, and you choose exactly what a helper will see.

    They wear it

At school, at sport, at the park and at sleepovers. The band arrives linked to their profile, or you choose it in your dashboard. There are no codes to type.

    Anyone can tap it

A teacher, coach or passer-by holds their phone to the band. Your child’s profile opens in the browser. If a reaction starts, Allergy Response walks them through it step by step, from using their adrenaline to calling 000.

    You stay in the loop

We email you when their profile is opened or a reaction is reported, and every tap appears in your Activity log with what the helper did. We remind you before medication expires, too.

What is NFC?

NFC (near-field communication) is the same contactless technology as tap-to-pay. When a phone is held to the TAP PHONE HERE face, the phone powers the tap, so there’s no battery in the band and nothing to charge. iPhone XS and newer read it straight from the lock screen, and most Android phones read it when NFC is switched on. The profile opens in the phone’s web browser, with no app to download.

What a helper sees, step by step

The profile opens with the most urgent facts first, in the order a helper needs them.

Preview your child’s profile
  1. 1

Who they are, and what’s most serious

Their first name and age, their photo if you choose to show it, and a medical alert at the top naming any life-threatening or serious allergies and conditions.

  2. 2

    Their adrenaline and medications

Which adrenaline device they carry, where it’s kept (with your photos) and how to use it, followed by their other medications.

  3. 3

    Who to call

Each emergency contact, with a button to call them in one tap.

  4. 4

    More about them

Your notes on what to do, their signed action plan, full allergy and condition details, and their school or childcare if you share it.

  5. 5

    Help that stays on screen

A Call 000 button at the top of the page, and the Allergy Response button pinned to the bottom, ready to walk them through a reaction step by step.

The TapCare difference

Simple by design. Big peace of mind.

  • No app.

Helpers don’t download anything or sign in.
  • No battery.

The phone powers the tap. Nothing to charge.
  • No subscription.

The online profile is free for the life of the band.

What TapCare doesn’t do

Honest limits, so you know exactly where the band fits alongside the plans you already have.

  • It doesn’t call 000 for you.

A helper still makes the call. The profile keeps a Call 000 button on screen, and Allergy Response tells them what to say.
  • It isn’t a GPS tracker.

The band has no battery or GPS. You only see roughly where a tap happened, if the helper’s phone shares it.
  • It doesn’t replace their action plan.

Allergy Response is general first-aid guidance. Your child’s ASCIA Action Plan and their doctor’s advice always come first.
  • It isn’t a medical device.

TapCare shares the information you provide, with general first-aid guidance. It is not a medical device or an emergency service.
