Allergy Response

Not just information. Instructions.

Most medical IDs show what a child is allergic to. If a reaction starts, Allergy Response walks the helper through what to do about it, one clear step at a time.

Step 3 of 7

Give the EpiPen Jr now

  1. 1Pull off the blue safety release
  2. 2Place the orange end against the outer mid-thigh
  3. 3Push down hard until it clicks, and hold for 3 seconds

Done. Now call 000

  • 01

    Guided, not guessed

It checks the symptoms, then shows how to position your child, where their adrenaline device is kept, and how to use that exact device, with pictures.
  • 02

    Built around Australian first aid

The steps follow the order of the ASCIA First Aid Plan for Anaphylaxis, alongside your child’s own action plan.
  • 03

    Help with the hard parts

It tells them what to say when they call 000, times the five minutes before a second dose, and helps hand over when paramedics arrive.

Allergy Response is general first-aid guidance. It never replaces 000 or your child’s action plan.

Devices

Which devices it covers

Add your child’s devices to their profile, and a helper sees where each one is kept and how to use that exact device, with a picture for every step. If they’re holding a different device, they can choose it from the list.

Honest limits

What it is not

Allergy Response helps whoever is with your child act quickly and calmly. It has limits, and we’d rather you knew them up front.

  • Not a diagnosis

It can’t tell what’s wrong. It asks the helper which signs they can see, then shows the first-aid steps for those signs.

  • Not a replacement for their ASCIA Action Plan

Their own signed plan comes first. Upload it and helpers see it exactly as signed. Allergy Response follows the order of the ASCIA First Aid Plan for Anaphylaxis; it doesn’t change or stand in for your child’s plan.

  • Not a substitute for their doctor

It’s general first-aid guidance, not medical advice. Questions about your child’s allergies, medication or devices belong with their doctor.

  • Not a call to 000

It doesn’t call anyone. It tells the helper to call 000 and what to say, and puts the call one tap away.
